Steve Cocker

R56 Mini

Steve Cocker 49 started his racing in 2011, by entering a number of MSV Track day trophy events, 2012 and 2013 Steve competed in the popular BMW Kumho Championship taking a number of podiums.  2014 saw the duo of Steve and Neil Newstead swap from the rear wheel drive cars to the Mini Challenge championship racing the Mini Cooper JCW front wheel drive turbo cars on Slicks.  Steve had some great success in 2015 taking a number of podiums and a race win at Snetteron and finishing the championship fourth overall.  Steve stays with his car with the target of winning the new Mini Challenge Cooper S Championship in 2016.

Steve’s back ground has been in the build and support of cars along with his day job as business owner and Director of Oakfield Estate Agents.  Steve also runs the workshop of Oakfield Motorsport, there’s not much Steve can’t turn his hand too, including piloting the new articulated team transporter.

Career Highlights

2011       A number of race wins in the MSVR TDT

2012/3  Racing in the Kumho Championship and taking a number of podiums and fasted class laps.

2014       Racing in the Mini Challenge Championship

2015       Fourth in Mini Challenge JCW Championship and a race win at Snetterton
